The “Centre de données Astrstrophysiques de Marseille” (CeSAM, Marseilles Astrophysical Data Centre) is an INSU-approved regional centre of expertise on the processing, the analysis, the archiving, and the distribution of data from large extra-galactic surveys.
In this context, the CeSAM:

- develops and publishes some software related to these services
- manages the database for some astrophysical projects or surveys
- publishes some data in the Virtual Observatory.
