Dear Geco members,
This Friday 10th April at 15:00 we will have the next High-Energy Circle. Sarah Antier (IJCLab) will be telling us about the ORIGIN project on multi-messenger astronomy. You can see the abstract below. The talk will be hybrid, so please join us in the Mistral room.
Abstract:
In the era of LSST, ORIGIN aims to support the multi-messenger astronomy community. ORIGIN attends to gather multiple scientific tools with a real focus on AI and machine learning upgrades in the science portal ACME Skyportal-ICARE. Due to the massive alert stream, ORIGIN enables diverse scientific communities to process, filter, coordinate additional spectroscopic and photometric follow-up, classify, annotate and distribute the results. ORIGIN is interfacing with the existing LSST official brokers as FINK, BABAMUL/BOOM but also connect with multi-messenger streams as LVK and SVOM. In my talk, I will present the concept and its application for compact objects studies within the international network GRANDMA.
