Rationale
After the “Modelling and Simulation for Adaptive Optics workshop 2014“, we now focus on ELT-capable simulation tools available to our community in Europe both as users and developers. We’d like to provide a comprehensive census of the tools in current usage, their status of development, their completeness and hierarchy along the stages of simulation, design and later integration and portability to real-time environments.
We will cover mainly end-to-end wave-optics simulators and will outline spatial-frequency based analytical tools for simulation and estimation of derived data products.
Presenters are invited to address topics such as, but not limited to :
i) algorithms and models used for atmosphere, WFS, DM, detectors
ii) reconstruction and control algorithms
iii) analysis and synthesis tools
iv) (acceleration) hardware used ; code organisation (eg. parallelisation) and portability
v) graphical interfacing and visualisation tools
vi) data-driven capabilities, inherent meta-parameters identification and self-calibrations
vii) integrated opto-mechanical telescope models
viii) operational systems simulated and designed with such simulators, degree of refinement

Local Information
Take the Metro Line number 1 until the terminus "La Rose".
Go out of the metro station, turn right at the bottom of the electric stairs, and go to the bus station at 20m in front.
Take the bus B3B, it is a long bus, and leave it after 2 stations, at the "Technopole Centrale Marseille" LAM is just in front, a little bit toward your left.
Meeting room : Salle Tramontane (2nd floor)
